CANCELLED -Tales from the Cyber Trenches: A Practical Guide to Protecting Your Data and Investments
Thursday 17 May 2018, 12:00 - 14:00

About this Seminar

The much anticipated Cybersecurity Bill has been passed on 5 February 2018. The Bill provides the legal framework for the prevention and management of cyber incidents in Singapore. It imposes obligations on Critical Information Infrastructure owners, such as government agencies, banking and financial institutions, telecommunication, healthcare and transportation companies to take a proactive approach to systems and networks security. 2017 marked the year of cyber incidents - ranging from data breaches, ransomware attacks, and sophisticated social engineering campaigns on small businesses to multinationals. No organisation is immune to cyberattacks and security breaches. It is evident the volume and severity of cyberattacks will step up.

With this backdrop, we aim to bring to the session learnings from real-life cyber incidents - from breach investigation to response to recovery. We will also delve into the impact of cyber incidents on businesses and share best practices on how to improve the protection of sensitive data. Last but not least, we will also provide an overview of government's response to such security breaches in the region.
