About the Chairperson

Ms. Chee Fang Theng – Director, Pan Asia Law LLC

Fang Theng is a director of Pan Asia Law LLC with over 18 years of experience tax, estates and trusts, acting for many wealthy families, trust companies, and multinational corporations. She also represents clients before the Singapore courts, focusing on tax, probate and trust issues. Fang Theng is qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore, as well as a solicitor in England. She is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, member of the technical steering committee of the Singapore Trustees Association and committee member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (Singapore branch). She has participated in various committees set up to examine proposed tax and trust legislation, and is included in the list of recommended tax practitioners in Legal 500, Chambers, PLC Cross-border Tax, PLC Private Client, which are jurisdictional guides to leading tax and private client lawyers worldwide.

Mr. Richard Norridge - Head of Asia Private Wealth Practice, Herbert Smith Freehills

As head of Herbert Smith Freehills’ private wealth practice in Asia, Richard acts for high net worth individuals, their families, private banks and other advisers across Asia on a range of contentious and non-contentious trust and probate issues together with charitable and family company matters. In a number of instances, this includes advising mental health committees and estate administrators. Richard also has extensive experience in acting for international banks and individuals in cases involving fraud.

Mr Robert Foote – Partner, Walkers (Singapore) LLP 

Dawn advises high net worth families on their tax, trust and estate planning issues on a multi-jurisdictional cross-border basis with a particular focus on using onshore and offshore trust structures and other vehicles to help clients hold and transfer wealth. She also advises the financial institutions that provide services to high net worth individuals on a wide range of issues including advice on structuring their business operations and product offerings for tax efficiency and the legal issues surrounding their business. Dawn has worked in both the Singapore and Hong Kong tax practices of Baker & McKenzie as well as a private bank in Hong Kong. She also advises multinational corporations and financial institutions on cross-border transactions and on structuring their operations for tax efficiency (including planning for direct and indirect taxes and obtaining tax incentives). She is a member of the Singapore Trustees Association Executive Committee and Technical Committee and is quoted extensively in local and international media on issues affecting the wealth management industry and the international tax planning landscape. Dawn sits on Baker McKenzie's Global Steering Committee for Wealth Management. Dawn is recognised as a key individual in the area of Private Client / Wealth Management by Chambers Asia Pacific 2014 and 2015 and Singapore Tax by Chambers Asia 2013.
