Lee Chiwi was called to the Bar of England & Wales as a Barrister-at-Law in 1986 and admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore in 1988. He has a MBA and is a TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner). A former legal practitioner, he joined British and Malayan Trustees Limited (BMT) as its CEO in 2005. In early 2008, he joined the Rockwills Group in Singapore as CEO. Rockwills is in the business of Wills, Estate Planning, the administration of Trusts and onshore and offshore corporate structures. Lee Chiwi is the author of various books including "The Rockwills Guide to Succession and Trusts in Wealth Management" and "Drafting of Trusts and Will Trusts in Singapore" which he co-authored with the principal author James Kessler Q.C. He is now the Chair of STEP Singapore Branch.
Goh Seow Chee is an Executive Director of the Wealth Advisory Group at J.P. Morgan's Private Bank based in Singapore, which is dedicated to serving the international tax, trust, succession and strategic planning needs of our clients. She is responsible for the firm's Wealth Advisory practice and will be advancing the firm's efforts to develop customized and leading edge wealth planning products and solutions for clients.
Mr Sundareswara Sharma
Sharma has been a legal and tax advisor for more than 20 years in public service and in private practice. He has been legal advisor and counsel to the Inland Revenue authorities, a legislative draftsman with the Attorney-General's Chambers specialising in tax and other financial legislation for the Government, and a District Judge in the Subordinate Courts.
In private practice, Sharma has advised and represented clients on a range of legal issues, including in their dealings with regulatory authorities on civil and criminal matters. He has also advised on wealth management, trusts and estate planning. In dispute resolution, Sharma has acted against the Inland Revenue authorities before the tax tribunals and the Courts. Sharma was cited in the International Bar Association's Who's Who Legal 2008 for his tax and legal expertise. In alternative dispute resolution (ADR), Sharma holds appointments as a Panel Arbitrator, Panel Adjudicator and Panel Mediator with various arbitral and mediation institutions. He is admitted to practice law in Singapore and in England & Wales.
He is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner and an International Tax Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK). Sharma is also an Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax & GST) with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals. He is also a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators.
Linda Wong is one of the founder members of the Kensington Trust Group, of which Kensington Corporate Management (S) Pte Ltd is a member of. She is the Managing Director for Kensington Singapore.
Linda has more than 15 years of experience in the trust and fiduciary industry. Prior to her career in the trust and fiduciary industry, Linda was trained as an Auditor with one of the top 4 audit firm. Thereafter, she took up the position as an accountant in the hospitality line, which eventually led her to this industry.She is a member of CPA Australia, a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a Certified Financial Planner with the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Singapore Branch.
Linda is also an approved Trust Officer for Labuan. Linda graduated with a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Accounting degree from Monash University, Australia.
Ms Chee Fang Theng, Tax Director, Pan Asia Wikborg Rein LLC (now known as Pan Asia Law LLC)
Fang Theng is a tax director with the Singapore law firm of Pan Asia Wikborg Rein LLC in alliance with Wikborg Rein, which is the largest law firm in Norway with over 200 lawyers and offices in Oslo, Bergen, London, Shanghai, Kobe and Singapore. She is qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore, as well as a solicitor in England. She is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Ar bitrators, member of the technical committee of the Singapore Trustees Association and a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners.
Fang Theng has been practicing tax and trusts law in Singapore for over 16 years. Her areas of expertise include trusts, international tax planning, estate planning, corporate taxation, personal tax planning, stamp duties and goods and services tax.
Ms Annette Sui, Managing Director, Head of Private Wealth Solutions Singapore, HSBC Trustee (Singapore) Limited
Appointed as Managing Director and Head of Private Wealth Solutions, HSBC Private Bank, Annette oversees the trust business in Southeast Asia. Annette joined the HSBC Group in 2004. As a senior member of the Bank, she identifies, develops and directs the implementation of wealth strategies for the business. A veteran with over 20 years of experience, Annette established strong contact with the ultra-high net worth clients in the region, working closely with their families and professional intermediaries on trust and related wealth management issues. She plays an instrumental role in building and profiling the trust business in Southeast Asia as the preferred and highly regarded provider of wealth protection solutions to the ultra-high net worth families.Prior to joining HSBC, Annette was with Ernst & Young for 9 years heading one of teams in Audit and Assurance Business Services department. She holds a Master in Business Administration and is a Chartered Accountant. She is a recognised TEP (Trust and Estates Practitioner) and a Committee Member of STEP Singapore Branch.
Ms Cathryn Lau Sook Ching, Wealth Planner, UBS
Cathryn graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Business Administration degree. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners since 2008. She started her career in the consumer banking industry in 2000 before focusing on private wealth management in 2003. She further specialized in the area of Trust and Estate Planning within the private wealth management offering in 2005.
Currently, Cathryn is a Senior Wealth Planner with UBS responsible for supporting inter-generational succession planning needs of high net worth clients of the Singapore and Indonesian markets. Prior to joining UBS, she worked for the trust companies of Societe Generale Bank & Trust and Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation where she assisted private clients with multi-jurisdictional family members and asset classes to establish trust structures with succession and tax planning objectives.
Cathryn is conversant in English and Mandarin.
